The work and ministries of St John’s are generously funded through the sacrificial giving of the congregation. We believe that everything we have been given, is not our own but given from God.

Ways to give

Regular giving

The best way to give to St John’s is by setting up a regular payment to the church bank account. You can do this by setting up a standing order from your own bank.

Account Name: St John’s PCC
Bank: Lloyds (University Branch)
Sort Code: 30-19-14
Account Number: 02805123

One-off gifts

We have regular collections at all of our Sunday gatherings, where you can put cash*, cheques or charity vouchers (payable to St John’s PCC).

*if you are a UK tax payer please place the gift in an envelope with your name and address indicating that we can claim gift aid.

Credit/debit card

You can donate regularly or make a one-off payment with a card through our online system.

Make a donation online.

Please note we are charged a small transaction fee for each payment, so we recommend regular standing orders be processed through your bank. It is possible to claim gift aid at the point of transaction through this method.

Legacies

You may wish to consider leaving a legacy to St John’s in your will. We would encourage you to leave any finances to the general fund of St John’s Harborne.

Please speak to your solicitor when making or changing your will.

Impact Report 2022-23

There are so many encouragements and positive things to report from the last year, because of your prayer, financial support along with the time many of you have given to St John’s ministries. The Lord has been at work through you by his Holy Spirit.

Gift aid

Gift Aid makes such an enormous difference to our overall giving. If you are a UK tax payer you can increase the amount of your gift by completing a Gift Aid Declaration form. This will allow us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give at no cost to you and if you are a 40% taxpayer you will receive tax relief.

Ways to think about Financial Giving

Our Vicar, Rev Leonard Browne, has written a helpful guide on financial giving. If you aren’t sure whether to give or are considering giving, take time to read this guide. It’s also a helpful refresher if you’re a regular giver too!
