Let’s be friends!

If you are a student in Birmingham, we would love to meet you!

Your three (or more) years at university are a key time for you to grow and discover your own journey of faith with Jesus and finding the right church for you is central to that. At St John’s we love God, we love the city of Birmingham and we love the nations! We have an amazing group of students who meet regularly to support one another, learn together, serve our church, as well as having heaps of laughs along the way. Come along for yourself and find out what we’re about!

16.00 & 18.00 | Lordswood Girls’ School

The best place to meet other students is at our 18.00 gathering. Our Sunday evenings are packed with worship, teaching, and a space to engage with God on whatever level you feel comfortable with. We also have a gathering at 16.00, which has a great mix of all generations.

Midweek gatherings

Tuesdays monthly | Private home in Harborne

Once a month we meet together as a whole student group. It’s so important for us to gather together as one body. At these gatherings we eat together, worship, pray and listen to a short talk. We love students to take the lead at these gatherings, so how we use these times is decided by you!

Join a small group

If you want to build a community of friends to support and encourage you through your uni years, then joining a small group is the right step for you. They provide space to study God’s word, worship and encourage one another whilst developing long lastings friendships. You can check out our small groups page here. If you want to join a small group speak to one of our student team, or email
