Students
Welcome to Birmingham!
If you are a student in Birmingham, we would love to welcome you!
Your three (or more) years at university are a key time for you to grow and discover your own journey of faith with Jesus and finding the right church for you is central to that. At St John’s we love God, we love the city of Birmingham and we love the nations. We have an amazing group of students who meet regularly to support one another, eat dinner together and serve our church, as well as having heaps of laughs along the way. Come along for yourself and find out what we’re about!

Our Sunday gatherings are packed with worship, teaching, and a space to engage with God on whatever level you feel comfortable with. We gather at 10am & 6pm, we’d love to see you there! You can also watch our livestream on YouTube.

We believe it’s hugely important to meet together as a student community to support, encourage and pray for one another during this unique chapter of your life. We run a monthly student small group where we eat dinner at a church member's home, have fun and deepen friendships. We would love to meet you and for you to join our community! For more information email students@stjohnsharborne.org
We also encourage our students to become part of our multi-generational church by joining a church small group. This enables you to get to know other members of the church and grow in your faith. If you would like to join a small group email smallgroups@stjohnsharborne.org

We encourage you to join a team where you can lead, serve and get involved in the wider ministry of St John’s. Everyone has unique gifts that are a valuable asset to our community, and we would love for you to have a place to exercise yours!

Going to university and beginning all aspects of student life is a huge change! Through the highs, lows and everyday, we want to support all of our students as much as we can. Fancy a home cooked Sunday lunch with a family? We’ll organise it. Feel like you need some guidance? We offer mentoring. Or just a coffee with someone from our student team? Whatever you need - give us a shout.
