Engaging with literally hundreds of people

The Easter and summer event seasons provide an amazing opportunity to engage with literally hundreds of people over the different event weeks where we run SERVICEstation (our dedicated advice area). Our teams do a great job in helping people explore their gifting, calling and service opportunities. We still have a number of gaps in our teams to fill. Please pray that the Lord would provide the right people for our teams.

Global Connections now has a new CEO, John Baxter-Brown, who started full time in November. The new COO (Chief Operating Officer) Andy Law, took up his post at the start of January. With other new appointments towards the end of last year, almost half our staff team are new!

Pray that good relationships will form quickly and we can serve the church and mission community together with great effectiveness.

Planning is well underway for GOfest 2019 to be held at Capernwray Hall in Lancashire. A crucial part of our strategy is to relate to local churches regarding the missional challenges they face and our first Leaders’ Lunch on 29th November was a great encouragement.

Pray for a good number to attend this event and for all the remaining planning for the main event on 8th June to be inspired by the Holy Spirit.

We are currently planning for the next training cohort for City Pastors. We have lost a number of team members for various reasons, including health issues and relocation, so we need to boost our numbers again, by at least 15 people. Pray for more applications to come in for the next training on 30 March.
