Getting married?

Congratulations! Getting married is such an exciting time and we are thrilled to be part of your journey. Making a lifelong commitment to one another in front of friends and family is such a special day as well as receiving God’s blessing. If you are interested in getting married at St John’s you are in the right place.

We have put together a useful document of information to help answer some of your questions about weddings/banns at St John’s. Alternatively, a great source of information is yourchurchwedding.org, which can help answer questions about planning and eligibility for a church wedding.

Please note that from 2019 - 2020 we are unable to hold any weddings in our normal building due to our construction work.

The Marriage Course

Next course Spring 2019
Thursdays weekly | 19.30 - 22.00 | Private home | £68 per couple

The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions, designed to help couples in a long term relationship invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage.

The evening will include a home cooked meal, some short videos or talk and opportunity to talk privately with your spouse about the topic for the evening. Although The Marriage Course is based on Christian principles, it is suitable for any married couple, of any faith, at any age or stage of their marriage and is designed to help build a stronger relationship that lasts a lifetime. There is no group discussion, so each couple's privacy is completely respected.

This course will be hosted by Dave & Kay Schofield and Richard & Jane Lovell.
Contact them on marriagecourse@stjohnsharborne.org for more information.
