Christian Music Ministries Update
After all the challenges and disruptions of the last two years, it’s great to be able to give:
1. Praise to God for opportunities to reach out, even during lockdown, via
• Heart & Soul, which still broadcasts weekly on community radio, combining, music, teaching, ministry and interviews with local, national and even international Christians. (Weds 6-8 pm, repeated Tues 4-6, online on brumsideradio.com)
• Sunday worship from Catshill Baptist Church, on CMM’s YouTube strand and begun during lockdown. Praise the Lord for technological innovation and those who’ve laboured to use it effectively.
• For new staff appointed to the CMM admin team. Pray they continue settling in well.
• For Music weeks and events partially restarted (with limited numbers/masks/social distancing). Fellowship and ministry were much appreciated by those attending.
• For the live launch in November 2021 at last of our Christmas/Epiphany musical, Three Wise Camels, with choir, orchestra, soloists, video illustrations, even a small audience.
• For the release of a new recording and music book, Songs of Easter, many of the songs written during lockdown. We pray God will use these to enable his word and his love to sink deep in hearts and minds.
In all of this we are both challenged and encouraged by the words of Saint Augustine: “He who sings prays twice”.
2. Prayer
• For renewed opportunities for ministry in the Spirit. There are so many broken hearts longing for healing after all the hurts, losses and deprivations of the last two years.
• For discernment and wisdom in spiritual and practical matters.
• Need for rediscovery of gifts of Spirit (worship, prayer, ministry associated with rehearsals/ performances, live or online).
• Wisdom in using the written word. CMM also publishes teaching material on worship, ministry and related topics, along with teaching material.
Thank you again for your support; all those involved at CMM, full- or part-time, salaried or volunteer, admin, writers or performers gain so much from the encouragement of our praying Christian families.
