The Bridge is an outreach of Oasis Church, Birmingham. We provide addiction recovery, for those who battle with drug and alcohol addiction, in a supported housing setting across one male and one female house. Our vision is to:
· Build homes not hostels; to build relational communities in large family home settings, not institutions.
· Provide addiction recovery through the 12 steps; an internationally recognised program for addiction recovery.
· Develop skills for life; to help advance gifting from basic living skills to employment and education.
I have had the privilege of serving at The Bridge for 17 ½ years and have come across over 600 individuals. Clients stay between six months and two years depending on their individual needs, and we try to stay connected with them once they move on, as this is a long-term journey for them. We are extremely grateful for churches like St John’s who partner with us on this journey, both financially and in prayer. Please pray for the following:
· That each client may know a break from their addictive past and remain drug and alcohol free.
· That each may discover and reach their full potential.
· That each may get to see how much Jesus loves them.
