A VERY big thank you to St John's

Dear St John’s

Thank you so much for the Harvest donations cheque for an amazing £807.75! I have already had great pleasure in spending some of it on toiletries as we are very short of them. It is really helpful to know that I can buy items that we need as we need them.

Sadly the need for food banks seems to be increasing and many of our clients are in great need. Recent national research found that the average weekly income for people attending a food bank, after paying for housing costs, is £50. Twenty percent of clients had no income at all in the month before coming to a food bank. Unsurprisingly many clients report suffering from anxiety and depression. Ill health in general is a major factor for our clients, with 75% either having a health issue or living with someone who does.

So thank you again for helping us meet our clients needs.
