Give a coat to someone who needs it.

ROUNDUP_christmas_donate-a-coat.jpg

In recent winters St John’s has collected coats (and some other stuff) to support people who need them – particularly people sleeping on the streets and families forced to leave home because of abusive relationships. Our partner organisations, a women’s refuge, REACHOUT a Christian homeless charity and this year an organisation supporting recently arrived families, would love our support again. We’re collecting:

COATS for men, women, children and babies. They don’t need to be new but please make sure they are clean with buttons sewn on and zips that work.

HATS, GLOVES AND SCARVES for men, women and especially children.

MEN’S TROUSERS - warm trousers, jeans and jogging bottoms. Don’t need to be new but do need to be clean and with functioning zips.

MEN’S UNDERWEAR AND SOCKS – only new ones please.

These charities have really specific needs which we are trying to meet, so please don’t donate items that aren’t on the list above. We’re collecting at Lordswood on Sunday 17th November ONLY. If you can’t make this date, please contact Des Cole or Kathy Lee-Cole through My ChurchSuite beforehand.
Thank you so much. Doing this makes a massive difference to people who really appreciate our support.
