Amidst the different competing voices in our world, there are many that claim to offer access to a relationship with God, by re-defining what it means to be a follower of Jesus. For Paul, it centred around those who were abandoning true Christian freedom by demanding a return the additional Jewish requirements of circumcision and food laws. Today that same challenge of ‘abandoning by addition’, whether in what we believe or how we behave, needs to be identified and countered, just as Paul did. In this sermon series we will discover afresh what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and therefore what true freedom looks like, as we seek to live in a world of conflicting views.
